MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – On Wednesday March 31, at approximately 8:07 p.m., the Marshfield Police Department responded to the 300 block of West 4th Street after receiving a 9-1-1 call for help.
Shortly after, officers received another call that the victim was engaged in a domestic dispute with the possibility of a gun being used. The Marshfield Special Response Team was activated and through negotiations the female was able to exit the residence.
Officers continued to attempt contact with the suspect, a 35-year-old Marshfield man. The man ultimately surrendered and charges of disorderly conduct – domestic abuse, battery – domestic abuse, and two warrants for his arrest. Additional drug related items were also found inside the residence.
The department thanked the Wood County Sheriffs Department, the Marshfield Fire Department and Marshfield Street Department for their assistance in the peaceful resolution.
