Marshfield Police Department Invites Community to Citizens Police Academy

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – The Marshfield Police Department is offering residents a unique opportunity to learn about law enforcement through their annual Citizens Police Academy. Scheduled to run from April 2 to May 21, 2025, the program is open to Marshfield area community members who want to gain insight into police operations, practices, and objectives.

When and Where:
The academy will take place on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 9:00 PM at the Marshfield Police Department, located at 110 W 1st Street, Marshfield, WI.

What to Expect:
Participants will engage in hands-on experiences and explore various topics, including:

  • Crime scene analysis
  • Investigations
  • Traffic stops
  • Firearm training
  • Facility tours, and more

How to Apply:
Applications can be found on the City of Marshfield’s website at ci.marshfield.wi.us or picked up at the police department. Completed forms can be emailed to [email protected] or dropped off in person at the department.

Eligibility:
The academy is open to Marshfield area residents. Interested individuals are encouraged to review the application for full eligibility requirements.
