Police Take Precautions for COVID-19

On Tuesday, Gov. Evers has issued an emergency order prohibiting gatherings of 10 or more people to slow the spread of COVID-19, which includes the closure of bars and restaurants except for take-out and delivery orders.

The Marshfield Police Department reached out to the community to make sure they were aware of the new measure, and didn’t have any issues with compliance, said Police Chief Rick Gramza.

In response to COVID-19, the department has suspended building tours, ridealongs, public meetings at the station, employment fingerprinting services, and needle drop-off. The lobby remains open during normal business hours from 7:30-4:30 p.m., and parking and traffic citations can be paid at the drop box located in the entrance area.
