Marshfield (OnFocus) – Marshfield Police Department will host a #WalkWithUs Community Cookout at Wenzel Family Plaza Thursday, June 4 from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
The co-sponsored community cookout, silent rally, and peaceful march is designed to bring attention to racial injustice.
“We want to take some time to meet with the community for questions, concerns and a show of unity during this current climate,” they said in a statement. “Inspired by #walkwithus the Marshfield Police Department wants to join with the community to show that together we are stronger.”
Food has been donated by Hewitt’s Meat and Festival Foods from Marshfield, served free to those in attendance.
Families are welcome, bring lawn chairs if desired. Social distancing and masks are encouraged.
