The Marshfield Police Department recently welcomed Officer Andrew Ringquist in January.
Ringquist graduated from Auburndale High School in 2010 and spent six years in the Marine Corps. During that time, he was deployed once to Afghanistan with the 2nd Battalion and later worked as an embassy security guard.
Interested in joining law enforcement since high school, Ringquist returned after his service and went through the academy to fulfill educational requirements at Mid-State before landing a position in Marshfield.
He plans to stay and raise his family in Central Wisconsin. Down the road, he is interested in becoming an investigative officer.
