MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – As spring weather brings more bicycles and electric scooters onto local roads and trails, the Marshfield Police Department is reminding residents to prioritize safety and register their bikes and scooters with the department.

Registration is a simple step that helps authorities recover lost or stolen bicycles and e-scooters. A registration form is available online at the City website, and residents are encouraged to complete it as soon as possible.

In addition to registering, the department is also sharing several key safety reminders for riders of all ages:

  • Wear a properly fitted helmet at all times
  • Use hand signals and follow all rules of the road
  • Wear bright or reflective clothing and use lights, especially in low-visibility conditions
  • Parents should accompany children on rides until they are confident and experienced enough to ride alone

Whether you’re commuting, exercising, or just enjoying a ride around town, taking a few safety precautions can make a big difference.
