OnFocus – On Saturday December 5 at approximately 1:24pm, the Marshfield
Police Department responded to the 800 block of E Harrison St after a property manager found suspected explosive devices within the apartment building. These additional found devices appear similar to those located on December 3rd and are believed to be associated with that investigation.
Due to the location of the explosives the majority of the complex was evacuated for, or part of, the 7-hour incident. The Marathon County Bomb Squad assisted with the safe removal of the suspected explosives and was assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Supportive assistance was also provided by the Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department and WE Energies.
Additional searches were conducted to locate any other explosive devices. There are currently no known safety concerns for the community.
