Marshfield Police Release Information on Sex Offender Re-Entering Community

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – The Marshfield Police Department is releasing this information pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 301.46(2m) which authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of a sex offender’s release/residence when, with the discretion of the agency, the release of information will enhance public safety, protection and awareness.

William Gustavson was convicted of 6 counts of possessing child pornography in 2021 and 3 counts of possessing child pornography in 2006. Upon release from prison, Gustavson will be living at 201 W. Depot St, Marshfield, WI.

He will be placed on supervision with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC), and monitored by Sex Offender Agent Specialists with the Division of Community Corrections, in Marshfield. Gustavson is subject to lifetime GPS monitoring.

Gustavson has additional conditions, including but not limited to; not having any unsupervised contact with minors; complying with standard sex offender rules and cooperating with electronic monitoring, including complying with all requirements, and will be a lifetime registrant of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry.
