MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Recent Marshfield Police Reports that were submitted to OnFocus include:

August 29 – At 8:12pm, a traffic stop on South Cherry Avenue led to the arrest of a 46 year-old Marshfield man. The male exited the vehicle and officers could smell the odor of marijuana. The male became resistive towards officers and was decentralized to the ground. The male was arrested and transported to Wood County Jail, with charges of Possession of Cocaine, Possession of THC, Battle to LE x 2, Resisting, and Felony Bail Jumping requested through the DA Office.

August 30 – At 10:52am, caller reported that her vehicle was struck while she was inside eating at 511 N Central Ave. There was scratches left on the passenger side door. Photos were taken and video surveillance obtained. A report was completed for insurance.

At 6:03pm, caller reported a traffic accident in the 2000 block of N Central Ave. They also indicated one of the operators pulled a driver out of a truck and there was an altercation. Officers responded and spoke with both parties. Ultimately it was deemed a non-reportable accident. However, a 39 year-old Marshfield man was arrested, booked, and released for physical abuse of a child and disorderly conduct due to his actions during the incident.

August 31 – Caller reported her mother and mother’s boyfriend were fighting – that a physical altercation was actively happening and the male was bleeding. Upon arrival, officers heard an active disturbance and made entry. Parties were separated. During the investigation, it was learned that the female, a 41 year-old Marshfield female, was the predominate aggressor. She was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery.

At 1:30pm, caller reported a disturbance at an address on W Veterans Parkway. A 25 year-old male was taken into custody. Charges of recklessly endangering safety 2nd degree, physical abuse of a child, domestic disorderly conduct, and battery were referred to Wood County DA Office.

At 7:15pm, a complainant notified dispatch that a 75 year-old Marshfield female had left the store without paying for items in her cart. She was identified between the 800 and 900 block of S Central Ave. Officers spoke with her and took her into custody for retail theft. She was later released.

September 1 – During a traffic stop at Peach Ave/Grant St, officers learned that the driver, a 23 year-old Marshfield male, had a valid Marshfield PD warrant. When speaking with the male, the odor of intoxicants was emitting from the male. The male performed SFST and was arrested for OWI 1st and the active warrant.
