Marshfield Police Reports – April 15-22, 2022

April 15, 2022 – A woman reported her social security card was possibly stolen at Pick N Save. She was unable to remember when she last saw her card and believed it may have been taken from her wallet while shopping because her wallet felt different after she left the store. She was advised to contact the social security office regarding the missing card.

David responded to the Marshfield Police Department lobby and reported an attempted child abduction on N Central Ave. As a result of the investigation and review of video surveillance, it was learned the information the man received was fictitious and an attempted abduction never occurred. A 15 y/o female and her parents were spoken to and warned about obstructing an officer and other issues. No further police action was taken.

A woman reported damage to the rear passenger side window of her vehicle parked outside of her residence on E 3rd Street. She advised she was unsure when the damage may have occurred.

April 16 – Marshfield Fire & Rescue responded to a garage fire on E Blodgett. Marshfield Police Department also responded to reports of a male on-scene refusing to obey orders to stay away from the fire. According to the report, upon arrival the male continued to disobey firefighter and police officer orders to stay away from the fire. The male was arrested and transported to jail. During the investigation, the male was also found to be in possession of multiple illegal items. A request for charges will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s office for Resisting an Officer, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of THC 2nd+, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Masking Agent and Interfering with Fire Fighting.

Walmart LP reported a retail theft. Upon arrival, the suspect was identified as a 21 y/o Marshfield female. It was learned the female also had an active warrant for her arrest. The female was taken into custody and transported to the Marshfield Police Department where she posted her bond amount and was released. The female was also issued a retail theft citation.

April 19 – A traffic stop was conducted on 57 year old Marshfield male operating a motorcycle at a high rate of speed. The male was taken into custody for OWi (7th Offense) and Bail Jumping. He was transported to MMC ER where a legal blood draw was performed. He was then transported to the Wood County jail.

A woman reported a disturbance on S Apple Ave. A 41 yr-old North Carolina man was located and taken into custody. He was transported to the Wood County Jail. Charges are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

April 21 – Kwik Trip called to report one of their employee’s was being followed. Upon making contact, a 79 year old Spencer female had been stalking/harassing a 19 year-old female because she believed the 19 year-old was having an affair with her husband. The 19
year-old female did not know who the Spencer woman was. The woman was issued a warning for stalking.
