MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – August 4 – Complainant reported her 16 year-old daughter had been getting marijuana from a 22 year-old Marshfield male. The case is under investigation.
A woman reported a 34 year-old homeless male has been harassing her. The male has not been threatening but repeatedly shows up at her business and she has a difficult time getting him to leave. She stated that the male told her recently that he loves her and that made her uncomfortable. She requested the male be told to stay away from her and her place of employment.
August 5 – A traffic stop was attempted and the vehicle did not stop. A pursuit was initiated until the vehicle eventually came to a stop at a residence in Marathon County. Two male occupants were placed into custody. K9 Zso was utilized and it was learned that a bag of controlled substances were discarded out the window during the pursuit and was later located in the ditch line. The male driver, a 29 year-old Marshfield male, was transported to Marathon County jail on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Schedule I Narcotic, Felony Bail Jumping, and a Probation Hold.
Complainant reported a 45 year-old male had exposed his genitals while in the Target store. The male was issued a no-trespassing letter from Target and a citation for disorderly conduct.
A mail carrier reported being bitten by a dog while attempting to deliver mail on N St Joseph Ave. The dog bite did not break the skin and he did not request/seek medical attention. The dog was leashed, but broke the leash as he approached the residence. Contact was made with the owner, who advised that the dog is up-to-date on vaccinations. Owner agreed to use a heavier dog leash and to put dog inside during the times her mail is delivered.
August 6 -Porter called Wood County Dispatch after a 39 year old Marshfield female was in Walmart with a male individual. After selecting several items totaling $123.86 from various displays, she then proceeded to a checkout lane but did not actually pay for the items, then pushed her cart with the items still in it past all other points of checkout and attempted to leave the store without paying for them or permission to do so. Porter was able to stop the female and escort her to the office, but when he mentioned calling the police she exited the store and left in the above vehicle driven by the male but left her driver’s license behind. Later the same evening the female turned herself in at the Marshfield Police Department where she was booked and released. It was determined the male was not involved in the theft. Charges are being requested through the Marathon County DA’s office.
A tv was stolen from New Life Christian Church. The unknown suspects also spray painted “sorry for tv” with a cross on the pulpit. Video footage will be available in the future.
August 9 – A woman reported that a 52 year-old Necedah male had sent her a threatening message over Facebook and then showed up at her residence. Contact was made with the male and he was warned for his behavior.
August 10 – During a routine traffic stop, Officer Endries learned the driver, a 28 year-old Marshfield male, had several valid warrants out for his arrest. The male was taken into custody on the warrants and Officer Endries located several types of drugs in the male’s possession. He was transported to Wood County Jail. Charges are being requested for possession w/intent crack cocaine, possession with intent amphetamines, possession w/intent fentanyl, possession w/intent THC, possession drug paraphernalia, Habitual Criminality, and misdemeanor bail jumping.
