Recent Marshfield Police Department Reports Submitted
October 20:
Marshfield female was found to have a valid Marathon County warrant and was taken into custody. During a search incident to arrest, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located. The female was transported to the Marathon County Jail for the warrant. Charges will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
October 25:
Complainant sent a $400 Amazon Gift Card to an unknown person(s) via email upon the recipient fraudulently posing as a family member. The gift card amount was immediately drained.
October 26:
Officer made contact with a 32 year old male who was in violation of a city ordinance. That male was also found to be violating his open felony and misdemeanor bonds. The male was arrested, medically cleared at Marshfield Medical Center and then transported to the Wood County Jail for Bail Jumping and Possession of THC. A request for charges will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
Complainant reported a customer notifying him of an unconscious female slumped over her steering wheel at a gas pump. The female was identified as a 28y/o Stratford woman. During the investigation K9 Zso alerted to the odor of a controlled substance within the vehicle. The female was arrested for OWi, Possession of a Controlled Substance (x2) and Bail Jumping – Misd. (x2).Charges will be requested through Marathon County District Attorney’s Office.
October 28
Marshfield Medical Staff reported a 43 year old male was running through the halls unclothed and had left the facility. Officers made contact with te male and he was taken into custody for a valid Department of Corrections Warrant. The male was medically cleared and turned over to Price County Sheriffs Office.
Complainant reported being the victim of a debit card fraud. According to complainant ‘s bank statement
from BMO bank, several charges have been made from his account to various businesses in various states. The charges are in the amount of $4,007.52. An investigation is being completed through BMO bank. No suspect.
Complainant stated she parked her van in Lot “L” on N Oak. When she came out to her van she noticed the rear driver’s side comer of the van was damaged. There was scuffing , paint transfer, and a broken tail lamp cover. The paint transfer appeared to be white or grey. There are no cameras in that parking lot. There are no suspects. The drivers insurance is American Family Insurance.
October 29
Officers responded to a report of an attempted break-in. Upon officer arrival, the complainant showed the office door where an unknown individual attempted to pry open the door. The door handle and the deadbolt were both broken. Officers made contact with the owner of the laundromat and he requested that officers keep record of the incident.
October 30
A traffic stop was conducted at Chestnut/Veterans. As a result of the traffic stop, a 30 year old Marshfield female was placed under arrest for OWi (2nd) and Possession of THC and drug paraphernalia. The female was transported to the Wood County Jail.
Complainant reported that a motorcycle struck a wooden sign post located at a cul-de-sac. Officer took photographs and emailed them to the street department superintendent and checked the area for motorcycles which met with negative results. Complainant stated the motorcycle was traveling at a slow speed and the operator may have been learning to ride the motorcycle.
November 1
Complainant reported Complainant’s ex violating a No Contact Bond rule violation. A 38 y/o Taylor County male contacted complainant third party by messaging via Facebook Messenger. Contact was made with the male whom was arrested, booked and released at Marshfield Police Department. A bail jumping charge will be requested through Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
An anonymous complainant advised officers a female with a warrant was staying at a Laurel Ct location. Officers located the female and arrested her for the warrant. The female was unable to post the bond and was transported to the WOSOJail.
Complainant reported that her 15 y/o son used her electric scooter. The scooter was parked at Bream Park, near the pavilion/restroom building. The scooter was taken while the male juvenile was away from it. The juvenile reported that he did not know who would have possibly taken the scooter. The scooter did not have any specific identifying features other than a broken left brake handle and missing charging port cover. The scooter was listed into NCIC as stolen property. Investigation to continue.
A Cornerstone Church pastor requested a 51-year-old man be trespassed due to his behaviors the previous evening. The 51-year old man had been confrontational with an employee and demanding in accessing assistance. The pastor wrote a trespass notice and an officer delivered it the man a short time later.
