MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – The Marshfield Police Department successfully arrested a man on Monday, March 7 around 8:52 a.m. after he was reported to have threatened another person inside the residence the night before.
According to Marshfield Police, the department received a complaint around 5:18 p.m. on Sunday, March 6 and were dispatched to a residence on the south end of Marshfield. The 25-year-old man was reported to have been intoxicated and was creating a disturbance at the residence.
It was reported that the male had held a knife to the throat of another male inside the residence. The victim of the threat was eventually able to leave the residence and called police, initiating the police presence at the residence.
Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect, surrounding the residence throughout the evening but their attempts were unsuccessful. At 8:52 a.m. the next morning, the male exited the residence and was arrested without further incident.
The male will be transported to Wood County Jail and charges of recklessly endangering safety, bail jumping, disorderly conduct and failure to comply with officer’s attempt to take person into custody were requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
