MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – A Pride event is scheduled to take place at the Chestnut Center for the Arts Friday, August 20th, from 4 to 6 p.m.
The event will feature live music by Adam Bluhm and free bakery items and coffee will be available.
Free LGBTQIA+ books will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. A few of the titles will include decolonizing trans/gender 101 by B. Binaohan and For Today I Am a Boy by Kim Fu.
Various advocacy and support groups for the LGBTQIA+ community and allies will be in attendance including Planned Parenthood, PFLAG, United Way, Marshfield High School GSA, and a local PEO chapter.
Local artwork by Lily Smith, Marie Walsh, and Chloe Jones will be available for purchase.
The Chestnut Center for the Arts is wheelchair accessible and bathrooms will be nongendered.
