MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – City of Marshfield property owners are starting to receive their 2024 tax statements in the mail. With tax rates seeing a substantial increase this year (partly due to a Marshfield School Board referendum and property revaluation) many residents may notice a higher bill than in previous years.
Ways to Pay Your Property Taxes
- By Mail:
Send your payment by check to City Hall. If you need a receipt, include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. - Online Payment:
Pay via credit card (2.39% fee) or e-check ($1.50 fee) through the City of Marshfield’s website at ci.marshfield.wi.us. - Secure Drop Box:
Place your payment in the secure drop box located next to City Hall’s front doors (207 W. 6th Street). - In Person:
Visit City Hall during business hours to pay in person. You can also pay at Forward Bank (1001 N. Central Ave), but only for the full first installment or total payment. Bring your tax payment stub, and ensure checks are for the exact amount. - Separate Checks for County Properties:
If you own property in both Marathon County and Wood County, payments must be made with separate checks.
