The Marshfield Tigers (9-0, 8-0 in the VFA West) have secured the #1 seed in Group A in Division 2, securing home-field advantage for the first three rounds of the WIAA Football Playoffs
They will host the #8 seed Ashwaubenon Jaguars (5-4, 5-4 in the Fox Valley Classic) in round 1 at Beell Stadium Friday at 7:00 PM, Ashwaubenon finished 5th in the Fox Valley Classic Conference. The winner of this game will play the winner of #5 Hortonville at #4 Menasha.
The Spencer/Columbus Catholic Rockets (8-1, 7-1 in the Cloverbelt) secured a #1 seed in Group A of Division 5 securing home-field advantage for the first three rounds of the WIAA Playoffs.
Spencer/Columbus will host the #8 seed Arcadia Raiders (5-4, 3-2 in the Coulee) at Ted Fritsch Field in Spencer at 7:00 PM on Friday Night. Arcadia finished third in the Coulee Conference. The winner of this game will play the winner of #5 Spooner at #4 Bloomer.
Group B of Division 5 has two local teams.
The Stratford Tigers (7-2, 5-1 in the Marawood Conference) secured a #2 seed in Group B and home-field advantage through the first two rounds of the WIAA Football Playoffs.
The Tigers will host the #7 seed Northland Pines (5-4 Independent) at Tiger Stadium on Friday Night at 7:00 PM. Northland Pines is one of 6 teams in Wisconsin that is not a member of a conference but make the playoffs by having a winning record in the games they schedule.
The Colby Hornets (7-2, 6-2 in the Cloverbelt) secured a #3 seed in Group B and a home game in round one of the WIAA Football Playoffs
The Hornets will host the #6 seed Bonduel Bears (6-3, 5-2 in the CWC-Large) at Colby High School on Friday Night at 7:00 PM. Bonduel finished 3rd in the Central Wisconsin Large Conference.
The Winner of the Northland Pines @ Stratford and Bonduel @ Colby games will meet in Level 2.
Two Local Teams are in Group B in Division 6
The Auburndale Apaches (4-5, 3-3 in the Marawood) secured a #6 seed and will travel for their first-round game.
The Apaches will take on the #3 seed Manawa Wolfs (6-3, 4-3 in the CWC Large) on Friday Night at 7:00 PM at Manawa High School. Manawa finished 4th in the Central Wisconsin Large Conference.
The Abbotsford Falcons (8-1, 7-0 in the Cloverwood) secured a #2 seed and home games in the first two rounds of the playoffs.
The Falcons will take on Northern Elite (6-3, 5-1 in the MONLPC-Large) at Abbotsford High School Friday Night at 7:00PM. Northern Elite (also knowns as Niagra/Goodman/Pembine) finished 2nd in the MONLPc-Large Conference.
The winner of the Auburndale @ Manawa and Northern Elite @ Abbotsford game will play in Level 2.
