Voters came out in droves to support top performers in central Wisconsin, and in the end it was Marshfield Swimming and Diving’s Alik Martin who was named the OnFocus Athlete of the Week, January 1 to January 7, collecting 497 votes.
Picking up an impressive 428 votes and earning second place was Sawyer Ostrum of Nekoosa/Assumption Boys Wrestling.
Levi Krautkramer/Jacob Smith of Marathon Wrestling took third place with 248 votes, and Breclin Burzynski of Stanley-Boyd Boys Wresting finished fourth with 168 votes.

OnFocus Athlete of the Week, January 1 to January 7
- Levi Krautkramer/Jacob Smith, Marathon Boys Wrestling – Krautkramer(120) and Smith(152) claimed second place finishes for Marathon at the Bluejay Challenge last week.
- Connor Krach, Newman Catholic Boys Basketball – Newman is tied for first in the Marawood South at 7-1 with Auburndale and Marathon, and Krach is a pivotal player for the Cardinals. Krach is averaging 12.5 rebounds per game, good for 15th in the state and is scoring 11.5 points per game.
- Sawyer Ostrum, Nekoosa/Assumption Boys Wrestling(nominated online) – Ostrum took the title at 120 pounds for Nekoosa/Assumption at the Bluejay Challenge last week.
- Breclin Burzynski, Stanley-Boyd Boys Wrestling – Burzynski claimed the title at 132 pounds at the Bluejay Challenge.
- Alik Martin, Marshfield Boys Swimming and Diving – Martin broke the 33 year old pool record of 284.30 and 34 year old school record of 308.70 for Marshfield in the 6 dive category with a score of 317.40 as the Tigers thumped D.C. Everest last week, 118-44.
