MARSHFIELD, WI (Submitted to OnFocus) – Marshfield Area United Way is pleased to announce the hiring of Sarah Chy as Resource and Office Manager and the new Marketing & Development Manager, Cassandra Zopfi.

Before joining United Way, Chy worked for Prince as an Accounting Assistant. Chy and her husband, Marty and their two children moved to the Marshfield Area in 2017 for Marty’s job relocation at Festival Foods. Chy was looking forward to moving to a small, caring community that is family oriented and a good place to raise children.

“My house wasn’t even unpacked when I first volunteered for United Way in 2017, putting together lunches for the NOW program. United Way’s mission has always been near and dear to my entire family’s heart. When I learned of the job opening and knowing that I could make a difference firsthand, I went for it and I am so incredibly thrilled I did,” said Chy.

Zopfi was previously the Resource and Office Manager at Marshfield Area United Way. Zopfi had moved back to the Marshfield area in 2018, wanting to be closer to family and become apart of the community she was raised in. Zopfi had graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication. Working for a non-profit and having the opportunity to help better her community has always been something Zopfi is passionate about.

“I am very passionate about United Way and their goals to bring a community together. When the Marketing and Development Manager position had an opening, I immediately was interested in learning more and furthering my career with United Way,” said Zopfi.

Marshfield Area United Way’s mission is to increase our community’s capacity to care for one another.

United Way recruits people and organizations who bring the passion, expertise and resources needed to get things done, working with a diverse group of partners, companies and individuals from all walks of life to identify needs, create a strategic response and work towards long-lasting solutions.
