MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Marshfield Utilities, in partnership with several local businesses and organizations, has initiated a unique challenge aimed at restocking the shelves of Soup or Socks Food Pantry and Clothes Closet. The challenge, which runs from June 12th to June 16th, will determine which team can collect the most items within a week. The winning team will not only earn bragging rights but also be awarded a coveted traveling trophy.
Interested entities are encouraged to join the challenge by reaching out to [email protected].
Participants in the challenge are required to adhere to the following rules:
- Collect items between June 12th and June 16th.
- Email a final item count, along with a photo of the gathered items (including employees if possible), to [email protected] by the end of business on June 16th.
- Provide the total number of employees in the participating group, including those who did not donate. Remote employees and those in locations outside of Marshfield need not be included.
- Donated items should not be expired.
- Marshfield Utilities can assist in the pickup and delivery of collected items to Soup or Socks if needed.
The challenge aims to fulfill the pressing needs of Soup or Socks Food Pantry and Clothes Closet. Some of the most urgently required items include saltine crackers, jelly, broth, sugar, oatmeal, peanut butter, canned soup, canned chili, canned stew, deodorant, and lotion. Generous contributions of both food and non-food items are greatly appreciated.
Upon conclusion of the challenge, Marshfield Utilities will coordinate the final details for the winning and losing teams, ensuring the trophy is presented to the champions and arranging suitable timing for the losing team’s chosen penalty activity. However, it is important to note that, ultimately, everyone involved is a winner when contributing to a noble cause.
