MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – According to a release from Marshfield Utilities, a local business will be testing their fire protection equipment on Thursday, August 26th potentially causing high amounts of iron to travel through water lines.
The business is scheduled to begin testing at 5 a.m. with completion coming at 7 a.m. The surrounding area of the business may experience discolored water from the buildup of iron.
Marshfield Utilities assure that the water will not be dangerous but it could potentially stain clothes being washed.
If you experience discoloration of your water, Marshfield Utilities recommends running your water for two to five minutes. They also recommend not washing clothes during the timeframe of the testing.
If your water does not clear up after several minutes, you can call Marshfield Utilities at 715-387-1195.
