Marshfield Volleyball Holds off Mosinee

The Marshfield High School Volleyball team defeated Mosinee in a non-conference match at the Frederick Construction Fieldhouse at Marshfield. The scores of the games were: 25-10, 25-20, 25-22.
Statistics Leaders:
Lauren Homolka had 7 kills, 6 blocks, and 2 aces.
Alyssa Foemmel, Della Smith, and Sophia Olson also added 6 kills each.
Kailyn Kurth had 24 assists to run our offense while Zaida Kolbeck had 12 digs to lead our defense.
Coach’s Comments:
I thought we came out very focused tonight and started the match playing at a high level. We had very few mistakes and were passing the ball well to get it into our offense. Our concentration and focus dipped a little bit in the 2nd set with too many missed serves and Mosinee really had some nice defensive plays keeping the ball alive for multiple possessions, especially in the 3rd set, to make the last set really close. Again, I was very pleased with how your offense was able to spread the ball around with 4 attackers having 6 or more kills on the night. The crowd, especially the student section, really brought a great energy and atmosphere to the match.
