Medford Baseball Comes from Behind, Downs Auburndale

Medford used an 11-run bottom of the 5th, capped by a Logan Baumgartner Grand Slam to come from behind to down Auburndale 14-7 in a non-conference baseball matchup. Medford extended their winning streak to 7.

Medford’s offense was led by Logan Baumgartner who went 2-4, with a double, home run, and 4 RBI. Tanner Hraby went 4-4 with 2 doubles and an RBI.

Nick Steliga got the win in relief, going 3.0 innings, giving up no runs, on 3 hits, 1 walk, and striking out 3.

Sloan Welch lead the Auburndale offense going 2-4, with a stolen base, and 3 RBI. Blake Rabb went 1-5 with 2 RBI. Caden Weinfurter went 2-3 win a walk.

Medford moves to 9-3 overall, they next host Northland Pines in a doubleheader on Saturday. Auburndale drops to 7-3 and will head to Stratford on Tuesday.
