MEDFORD, WI (OnFocus) – Medford utility player Caleb Guden has chosen Air Force as the college he plans to attend after he graduates high school next May. The junior is playing for the Rays Baseball Academy out of Madison during the summer.
Guden batted .453 during his junior season with three home runs and 32 runs batted in. He also drew 16 walks while only striking out five times on the season.

His work at the plate might not have been his best quality this year as the junior posted a 1.896 earned run average when pitching for the Raiders. He won eight out of his nine pitching decisions while striking out 63 opposing batters.
Guden had been mulling offers from schools but ultimately said he wanted to play the game he loves while serving his country.
“I am excited to announce that I have committed to serve my country and continue my academic and athletic career at the Air Force Academy,” Guden said in a Tweet. “I am grateful for God, my family, my friends, teammates, and everyone who has supported me along the way.”
