Voters for the area’s top athlete came out to support top performers, and it was Medford Girls Wrestling’s Avery Losiewicz that took the title of OnFocus Athlete of the Week, December 3 – December 9, with 429 votes.
In second place was Marshfield Girls Basketball’s Raeela Schueller with 281 votes.
Third place was earned by Auburndale Boys Basketball’s Kaden Anderson with 186 votes. In fourth place was Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Girls Basketball’s Sydney Holbery, earning 157 votes. Fifth place went to Edgar Boys Basketball’s Teegan Streit, who picked up 119 votes.
OnFocus Athlete of the Week, December 3 – December 9
- Teegan Streit, Edgar Boys Basketball – Streit led the Wildcats with 25 points and 8 steals in their 67-47 defeat of Prentice in Marawood Conference play on Friday.
- Raella Schueller, Marshfield Girls Basketball (nominated online) – Schueller scored a career high 23 points in the Tigers’ 81-34 win over Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln on Friday.
- Sydney Holberg, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Girls Basketball – Holberg scored 23 points to lead the Red Raiders in their 68-28 dismantling of D.C. Everest in Wisconsin Valley Conference action.
- Kaden Anderson, Auburndale Boys Basketball – Anderson poured in 25 points to lead the Eagles past Phillips 56-39 in Marawood Conference basketball.
- Avery Losiewicz, Medford Girls Wrestling (nominated online) – Losiewicz took the 132 pound title for the Raiders and was named the Eau Claire North Invite’s Most Valuable Wrestler.
