The Medford Raiders won their sectional semifinal match against Northwestern before falling in the Sectional Final to Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau/Melrose-Mindoro.
Medford won the sectional semifinal 63-16. Medford’s Issac Nichols won by technical fall; Emett Grunwald, Hayden Johnson, and Zeke Sigmund all won by fall; Jake Brunner won by Decision; and Clay Bowe, Jake Rau, Ty Sova, Matthew Gebert, Erick Rehbein, Carson Church, and Dane Higgins all by forfeit.
Medford would fall in the sectional final 35-28. Dalton Krug, Jake Rau, Dane Higgins, and Jake Brunner would win by decision. Carson Church would win by major decision. David Hiles, Erick Rehbein, and Zeke Sigmund would all win by fall.
Medford ends the season with a GNC conference regular season and tournament title along with a regional championship. Nine Medford wrestlers will compete at the individual sectional at Osceola on Saturday.
