For the second week in a row, voters turned out in big numbers to support area top performers in central Wisconsin.
Picking up the title of OnFocus Athlete of the Week, April 16 to April 22 was Ty Metz of Medford Baseball, with 315 votes.
Second place went to Alex Pawlowicz of Marathon Golf with 268 votes. Third place was earned by Nate Langbehn of D.C. Everest Baseball with 249 votes.
Fourth place was collected by Tria Tubbs of Stratford Softball, earning 207 votes. Fifth place went to Nate Eiden of Pacelli Track and Field with 102 votes.
OnFocus Athlete of the Week, April 16 to April 22
- Alex Pawlowicz, Marathon Boys Golf – Pawlowicz earned medalist honors for Marathon, shooting an 83 at Whistling Straits this week.
- Nate Langbehn, D.C. Everest Baseball – Langbehn struck out 15 in the Evergreens’ 9-0 win over Wausau East.
- Ty Metz, Medford Baseball – Metz kept Tomahawk hitters at bay in the Raiders’ 9-1 win in game one, then was 2X3 in Medford’s 13-0 win the game two.
- Adam Eiden, Pacelli Boys Track and Field – Eiden claimed first place finishes in the 800 m run and 1600 m runs at the Rosholt Back the Track Invite.
- Tria Tubbs, Stratford Softball – Tubbs struck out ten batters in Stratford’s 15-6 win over Nekoosa.
