Merrill standout student-athlete McKenna Meyer is a force for the Bluejays´ volleyball team, and a closer look at Meyer reveals some inside information about what makes Meyer ´tick.’ Check out the interview to get all of the important questions answered, with our world-famous interview: Pancakes or Waffles?

OnFocus: What are your favorite subjects/classes and why?

Meyer: Math and business class because I love working with number and business is what I want to do someday

Meyer: The best thing about being a student athlete is you have the opportunity to have fun everyday after school. It’s like a brain break with some of your best friends.


OnFocus: What are your hobbies?

Meyer: Waterskiing, snowboarding, shooting trap, walking outside, going to the gym.

OnFocus: Who is/was your first favorite teacher and why?

Meyer: Mrs Marrier. She was always so happy and made learning fun:)

OnFocus: What is the most unusual food you have eaten?

Meyer: Chocolate covered crickets

Meyer: Give 100% of what you have everyday and it is ok to have bad days—they are what make you stronger.


OnFocus: What is your favorite music to listen to?

Meyer: I like to listen to country music. Morgan wallen and Zach Bryan are two of my favorite artists

OnFocus: What are your plans after high school?

Meyer: My plan is to go to college and earn a degree in business. I hope to manage a bank
someday.

OnFocus: If they made a movie about you, and your life, what would it be called?

Meyer: Organized chaos

OnFocus: What sports do you play?

Meyer: I play volleyball and I am a figure skater

OnFocus: Which teammate would you not want to be stranded with on a deserted
island?

Meyer: Probably Ava Detert because I feel like she doesn’t know much about surviving without her phone.

OnFocus: What are some memorable moments you have had as an athlete?

Meyer: Winning against big teams. The Mosinee game just a couple weeks ago was so
memorable for me.

OnFocus: Who are your favorite athletes and/or teams?

Meyer: I love watching Badger volleyball. Nathan Chen is also an athlete that I love to watch skate.

OnFocus: What do you enjoy most about competing in front of family, friends and fans?

Meyer: I love the support they have for me and when they cheer extra loud.

OnFocus: Do you have a funny or unusual moment(s) you have experienced in
sports?

Meyer: Not really anything honestly

OnFocus: What’s the best thing about being a student-athlete at  Merrill?

Meyer: The best thing about being a student athlete is you have the opportunity to have fun everyday after school. It’s like a brain break with some of your best friends.

OnFocus: What words of wisdom can you give to other student-athletes?

Meyer: Give 100% of what you have everyday and it is ok to have bad days—they are what make you stronger.

Meyer:Definitely pancakes
