With over 6,000 views, voters in central Wisconsin turned out to check out the area’s top teams last week.
Picking up 519 votes and earning the title of OnFocus Team of the Week, December 31 – January 6 was Merrill Boys Wrestling. Finishing right behind in second place with an impressive 509 votes was Stratford Boys Wrestling.
Third place went to Pittsville Girls Basketball(164 votes) and fourth place was earned by Stevens Point Swimming with 135 votes.
OnFocus Team of the Week, December 31 – January 6
- Stratford Boys Wrestling – The Tigers collected 14 top five finishes at the D.C. EverestIFred Lehkre Ivitational.
- Pittsville Girls Basketball – Pittsville picked up a huge win in the CWC, knocking off unbeaten Almond-Bancroft 50-41. Reese Grimm(21 points, 10 rebounds) and Brynn Friday(13 points, 12 rebounds) led the Panthers in the win.
- Stevens Point Boys Swimming(nominated online) – The Panthers picked up a 102-68 WVC win over Marshfield.
- Marathon Boys Basketball – Marathon is alone at the top of the Marawood Conference South, 7-0, and 12-0 overall.
- Merrill Boys Wrestling(nominated online) – The Bluejays earned a 48-30 WVC win over Stevens Point, collecting 6 pins in the victory.
