Voting for the OnFocus Team of the Week saw two teams gain considerable support.
Earning the title of OnFocus Team of the Week, April 30 – May 6 was Merrill Girls Track and Field, with 287 votes.
Second place was collected by Auburndale Baseball and Softball with 230 votes.
OnFocus Team of the Week, April 30 – May 6
- Edgar Girls Track and Field – Edgar took first place at the Stratford Track Invitational, ahead of top competitors Loyal, Stratford, Assumption and Colby.
- Merrill Girls Track and Field – The Blue Jays outlasted 10 other teams at the Otto Bacher Track Invitational Meet in Merrill.
- Wausau East Boys Track and Field – Wausau East raced past the field and doubled the score of its nearest competitor, claiming first place at the Otto Bacher Track Invitational Meet in Merrill.
- Auburndale Baseball / Softball– Auburndale Baseball collected an extra-innings win over Stratford, as Aden Cherney’s sacrifice fly in the 8th inning propelled the Eagles to a 4-3 win. Auburndale softball trailed 3-2 heading into the top of the seventh inning before plating three runs, and held on to down Stratford 5-3 in Marawood Conference Softball.
- Stevens Point Boys Tennis – The Panthers picked up three wins on Saturday, defeating Oconomowoc 5-2, Waukesha South 6-1 and Madison East 7-0.
