Voting for the OnFocus Athlete of the Week saw a race among two student athletes for the top spot.
Winning the title for the OnFocus Athlete of the Week, April 3 – April 9 was Madison Crossman of Merrill with 485 votes.
Taking second place was Kaitlyn Selle of Mosinee, who collected 392 votes.
OnFocus Athlete of the Week, April 3 to April 9
- Kaitlyn Selle, Mosinee Girls Soccer – Selle had 3 goals and 2 assists as Mosinee opened the season with a 6-0 shutout win over Merrill.
- Luke LeMoine, Marshfield Boys Track – Lemoine finished first in the long jump and triple jump in the Tigers’ dual meet with D.C. Everest.
- Brock Bennington, Columbus Boys Baseball (nominated online) – Bennington opened the season with a bang for the Dons in their 16-5 nonconference win over Phillips. Bennington was 4X4 with a home run, 4 RBI and 4 runs scored.
- Madison Crossman, Merrill Girls Track – Crossman took first in the 60 m dash and 400 m dash, took second in the shot put and was third in the long jump to win the QUAD title at the Marshfield Tigers Girls Relays.
- Matt Nielsen, DC Everest Boys Track (nominated online) – Nielsen won three titles at a dual meet with Marshfield: 60 m dash and 220 m dash, and was first in the pole vault.
