OnFocus – Marshfield Fire & Rescue responded to two fire calls over the weekend – one at Masonite and one at Sternweis & Sons. Masonite ended up being a false alarm triggered by the power outage that impacted much of the community, but Sternweis resulted in the loss of a maintenance building.
“We would like to express our appreciation to the Town of Lincoln Fire & Rescue and the following fire departments for their efforts on Friday evening: Cameron, Chili-Fremont, Hewitt, Marshfield, Pittsville, Richfield, Rock, and Spencer,” Sternweis said in a statement. “One of our maintenance buildings was lost due to fire, thankfully no injuries to report, no vehicle damage, and a firewall prevented the fire from spreading to our new attached building. The redi-mix location is open for business as usual. Thank you to the community for your support and prayers!”
