The Windigo play the Anchorage Wolverines at 7pm Friday and Saturday night on NAHLTV from “The Dome” in Eagle River, Wisconsin. The total call ups this season has grown to three this season with Jake Garrow being called up to Springfield in November.
“We are extremely proud of both Micah and Easton. These NAHL call ups are well deserved opportunities for our players. Micah came to Wausau as a first-year player and has done everything we’ve asked and more. He comes to the rink every single day ready to compete and get better. He has earned every opportunity he’s been given in Wausau, which has now translated to an opportunity in the NAHL. His focus, attention to details and determination is a driving force to his success with us and we are very excited to see him be reunited with former Cyclones Captain Gabe Randel in Rochester,” stated Head Coach Nathan Oystrick.
“Easton Plachetka has been with us since my first year. He is a third year Cyclone who has continued to get better and gain more confidence every single year. He is a leader on our team, a popular teammate, someone we look to when we need a big play and an absolute pleasure to coach. As an organization our goal is to win games. We come into every season, with one main goal, which is working towards bringing a Fraser Cup Championship to Wausau. We also understand that the NA3HL is a development league and to be able to watch our players develop and get opportunities at the next level is very special and rewarding. As coaches we get to see the effort, commitment, and passion these young men put in every single day, and we couldn’t be prouder of every single player who has put on a Cyclones jersey.” stated Oystrick.
