Minneapolis Police Respond to Mass Shooting in Uptown
Minneapolis (OnFocus) Minneapolis Police Department requested the public to stay away from the area of 2900 block Hennepin S., Sunday morning around 1:45 am as reports came in of multiple people shot. The address provided corresponds to a commercial district, near Landmark’s Uptown Theatre and several bars and restaurants.
An update was made on the Minneapolis Police Department’s Twitter feed, shortly after 3 am that 10 people were suffering from gunshot wounds at area hospitals. All of the victims are alive with various severity levels of injuries.
At 4 am, the PD updated that the number of gunshot victims increased to 12 and that 1 male had died. No reports at this time indicate that the additional victims were from the response of the department or if any one was in custody.
