Missing Wood County Girl Found Safe

ARPIN, WI (OnFocus) – Elexa Cooley has been found safe, according to investigators. Last week, the Wood County Sheriff’s Department notified the public that the 15-year-old Arpin girl was missing and may be heading to Utah.

Cooley was believed to be traveling with a man named Roby Parker in a 2004 Green Acura MDX with Utah license plates. Cooley had last been seen on County Road N in Arpin at around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 26.

No further information is available at this time.

Elexa Cooley, who was listed as a missing/endangered child through the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, has been located and is safe. Wood County Sheriff’s Department is working with Wood County Human Services to reunite the child with her family. Please respect the family’s privacy with this matter. The Wood County Sheriff’s Department anticipates referring criminal charges on Roby M. Parker (18) from the State of Utah for his part in the disappearance of the child. This matter remains under investigation.

The Wood County Sheriff’s Department was assisted in the investigation by Wisconsin Department of Justice-Division of Criminal Investigation, United States Marshals Service, FBI, Taylorsville City PD (UT), Palisades Interstate Parkway PD (NJ), Yonkers PD (NJ), City of New York Police Department, and Wood County Communications Center. The Wood County Sheriff’s Department wants to thank all these agencies for their part in locating the child safely.
