The Mosinee Indians started out their season with a statement taking down the Stratford Tigers 16-0. Keagen Jirschele got the win on the mound tossing 3 innings striking out 6 and walked none. Gavin Obremski led the way at the plate going 3-3 including a triple off the top of the fence in the first inning followed by and double in the second inning. Garret Shupe and Sawyer Holtz added two hits.
2023 Central Wisconsin Spring Sports Schedules
Brady Lokken and Shupe each added a pair of RBIs, while Blake Nichols added a double. Grant Kuklinski and Jirschele had a single each. Ethan Oatman finished the last 2 innings striking out 3 and walked none. Darkness came quickly as the teams could not get past the 2nd inning of the second game. Mosinee next match up will be Monday at home against conferences rival Medford. First pitch set for 5pm.
