Voting for the OnFocus Team of the Week, Feb 6 – Feb 12 saw area fans come out to support the top teams in Central Wisconsin. Winning the title for the week was Mosinee Boys Hockey, collecting an impressive 428 votes.
Second place went to Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal Wrestling with 194 votes.
Stratford Wrestling took third place with 121 votes and in fourth place was Marshfield Wrestling with 111 votes.
OnFocus Team of the Week, February 6 – February 12
- Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Girls Basketball – Rapids picked up three wins this week, none bigger than their 60-57 win over Mosinee, giving the Indians their first loss of the season. The Red Raiders also defeated D.C. Everest and Wausau East, improving to 14-8 overall, 10-1 in the WVC.
- Stratford Boys Wrestling – The Tigers won the regional title Saturday, taking home 8 regional titles from Trenton Cournoyer, Gavin Drexler, Dillon Kirsch, Elijah Lucio, Gavin Kirsch, Carter Lueck, Jackson Ormond, and Cole Marten.
- Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal Wrestling: N/G/L won a regional title Saturday, with two wrestlers taking regional titles.
- Mosinee Boys Hockey – Mosinee went into the GNC tournament as the #3 seed, but proved they were the cream of the crop. Mosinee downed #6 Tomahawk 9-2 and #2 seed Rhinelander 8-2 before dominating top seed Lakeland 3-0 to take the title.
- Marshfield Boys Wrestling – The Tigers took the regional title Saturday, advancing 12 wrestlers to sectionals. Seven Tigers won regional titles: Caleb Dennee, Keagan Cliver, Hoyt Blaskowski, Brett Franklin, Garrett Willuweit, Ryan Dolezal, and Camren Dennee.
