Mosinee sweeps  doubleheader with Lakeland

Mosinee sweeps a talented Lakeland team big tonight, winning out 13-3 and 17-0.  The Indians’ pitching was lights out allowing just 1 infield hit in game one and Keagen Jirschele threw a no-hitter in game two! Jirschele went 5 innings, striking out 7 and walking just 2. Garrett Shupe got the win in game one, tossing 3-2/3 innings, striking out 7, and walking 6. Ethan Oatman finished the final 1-1/3, striking out 3 and walking one. Despite facing some good pitching, Mosinee’s bats were on FIRE, tallying 25 hits in the two games, including 4 home runs!

2023 Central Wisconsin Spring Sports Schedules

Gavin Obremski led the way at the plate with 5 hits, including 2 homeruns in game one, later adding a double and 4 RBIs. Sawyer Holtz also had 5 hits, including a triple and 3 RBIs.  Taylor Lemanski had 4 hits, including a home run, 2 doubles, and 5 RBIs. Jirschele had a pair of hits, also including a homerun and 5 RBIs. Davin Stoffel, Grant Kuklinski, and Cameron Ziebell each had 2 hits. Mosinee improves to 5-1 on the season and 3-1 in conference. The Indians travel to play 3 games at The Rock in Milwaukee on Friday and Saturday. They play D1 powerhouse Arrowhead Friday night at 8pm.
