Mosinee Thrashes Tomahawk

Mosinee took to the road again for a conference game against Tomahawk. Mosinee picked up a 77-26 Great Northern Conference victory.

  Mosinee started the night with a quick bucket by Davin Stoffel to put Mosinee up 2-0.  Keagen Jirschele would get two with a slick fast-break layup for a 4-0 lead.  Davin Stoffel used a nice floater for two to add to the 6-2 lead.  Quickly after that Garrett Shupe would get fouled and he would make both free throws to add to the lead of 8-2.  Mosinee would use great ball movement to get Landen Thomer a bucket.  Mosinee leads 10-2.  Davin Stoffel would knock down a three from the wing to put Mosinee up 13-2.  Stoffel would follow that up with a fast break slam for a 15-4 lead.

Thomer received a nice pass from NIchols for another fast break lay-in.  Mosinee up 17-4.  Blake Nichols would get his own rebound off a miss and put it back for two to put Mosinee up 19-4.  Aidan Shaughnessy was able to attack the rim and get an and one to for a 22-4 lead.  Shupe would knock down a corner three to put Mosinee up 25-4.  Shupe would follow that with a rebound and putback for two more as Mosinee now leads 27-6.

Ben Peterson was able to go the length of the floor for a bucket.  Mosinee up 29-6.  Garrett Shupe hit a three from the top of the key to add to the lead of 34-6.  Jirschele would get a steal and a layup to bring the lead to 36-6.  Jirschele added to the steal total with another steal for the night to put Mosinee up 40-6.  Mosinee would go into halftime with a 40-11 lead.

Central Wisconsin Boys Basketball Schedules

Coming out of half the boys would get their first bucket from Stoffel with a bucket off an inbound play.  Mosinee is now up 42-14.  Aidan Shaughnessy would add to his night with a three.  The lead is now 47-14.  Stoffel got an easy two to put the boys up 51-14.  Landen Thomer would get the next seven points for Mosinee to put them up 61-19.  Blacke Nichols knocked down a nice three to put the lead at 66-19.  Treve Stoffel got a fast break finish for two.  Mosinee is up 68-21.  Keagen Jirschele was fouled and knocked down 1-2 from the line.  Mosinee is up 69-24.  Jack Rindfleisch hit a 15 footer from the left corner to put the lead to 71-24.  Mosinee would get a three from Treve Stoffel to put the lead at 74-24.  Brandon Olson would finish the scoring for the night with a strong finish and an and one to put the lead at 77-26.

Mosinee would win their 13th game of the season and they are now 6-2 in conference with an overall record of 13-4.

Mosinee was led in scoring by Davin Stoffel with 17 points while hitting one 3, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, 3 blocks, and 1 assists.  Landen Thomer added 12 points while hitting one 3, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block.  Garrett Shupe added 10 points while hitting two 3’s, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block.   Aidan Shaughnessy added 10 points while hitting one 3, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist,  and 1 block.  Blake Nichols added 9 points while hitting one 3, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block.  Keagen Jirchele added 7 points, 6 steals, 4 assists, 2 blocks,  and 1 rebound.  Treve Stoffel added 5 points while hitting one 3, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 assist.  Brandon Olson added 3 points while going 1-1 at the line.  Ben Peterson added 2 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal.  Jack Rindfleisch added 2 points, 2 assists, and 1 rebound.  Mosinee will finish their four game road trips with a visit to DCE on Tuesday at 7:15.
