The Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers follow in joint eighth place. The average ticket to see the Wisconsin and California teams set spectators back $334.50.

The top ten is rounded out by two further NFL sides, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers, whose ticket prices are, on average, $310.60 and $295.45, respectively.

Brett Collson, Head of Sports at GamingToday.com, commented on the findings: “With sport playing such a huge role in American culture, the most expensive teams to watch across our top leagues is an interesting reveal. Perhaps it’s unsurprising that NFL teams are, predominantly, the most expensive to watch. The average NFL game lasts around three hours, compared to the average NBA game which is usually played in around two.

“This perhaps speaks for the incredible reputation and spectacle surrounding the Lakers who, despite this, are able to demand one of the highest prices across teams nationwide.”
