A new study has revealed the most popular NFL jerseys in each state across America, and it’s great news for Jordan Love, who has the most-searched-for jersey.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback has seen 462,700 Americans searching for his jersey so far in 2024, which makes it the most in-demand throughout the NFL.

The research from FlashPicks, a betting picks, parlays, predictions and news brand, analyzed Google Search volume data in each US State for more than 350 of the most high-profile NFL players throughout 2024, to find the most popular stars in the league.

It will come as no surprise that Love’s jersey is the most searched-for in Wisconsin. The 25-year-old recently signed a $220 million contract over four years which made him the joint highest-paid player in the NFL, and that value is reflected in the 84,700 searches he’s had for his jersey this year across the state.

17 other states love Jordan’s jersey the most including California (46,200), Florida (20,300), Minnesota (16,800), and Colorado (7,000).

The full study reveals that CeeDee Lamb ranks second. The Dallas Cowboys wide receiver has 435,680 searches for his jersey this year and also has 17 states that search for it the most. Lamb ranks high in the majority of states including Texas, where he receives a huge 126,700 searches, as well as his home state of Louisiana.

Ranking in third is Travis Kelce. Taylor Swift’s boyfriend has had a massive rise in popularity over the last year and that is reflected in the 352,030 searches for his jersey throughout 2024. Kelce’s jersey is most popular or joint most popular in 15 states including Missouri (13,300), New Jersey (11,200), and Washington (9,100).

Joe Burrow is in fourth place as his jersey has received over 291,200 searches this year. The Cincinnati Bengals star is the most popular in his team’s state of Ohio (37,800), as well as Indiana (7,000), Kentucky (11,200), and West Virginia (1,470).

Rounding off the top five is three-time Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes. The 28-year-old has 278,460 online searches this year and is the number one searched jersey in Kansas (7,000), Missouri (13,300), and West Virginia (1,470).

When it comes to combined team searches, the San Francisco 49ers take the top spot with 877,940 searches this year for their player jerseys across America.

Brandon Aiuyuk is the most popular 49ers player and represents 198,380 of those searches, which is slightly more than quarterback Brock Purdy, who has 180,040. Christian McCaffrey also ranks highly with 175,140 jersey searches in 2024.

The Kansas City Chiefs sit behind in second place and have 794,080 jersey searches in 2024, likely thanks to Travis Kelce and the Chief’s recent Super Bowl success.

In third is the Dallas Cowboys as their players’ jerseys have been searched for 629,440 times. Quarterback Dak Prescott is the Cowboys’ second most popular player with 71,400 jersey searches this year.

With 560,770 searches this year, the Green Bay Packers are in fourth. This further highlights Love’s popularity as he represents 82.5% of the searches. With over 418,000 fewer jersey searches, Josh Jacobs (44,660) is the closest Packers player to Love.

The Philadelphia Eagles sneak into the top five as the jerseys of their team are searched for 431,410 times. Jalen Hurts narrowly takes the crown of being their most popular player with 159,180 jersey searches, just ahead of Saquon Barkley who has 151,480.

“Jordan Love is clearly doing a lot right on the pitch with his recent lucrative contract extension, and it makes great commercial sense for the Packers too as fans all over America are demanding his jersey more than anyone else’s.”

Methodology:

Online search data was taken from Google Ads Keyword Planner from all 50 states across America. 384 of the most high-profile players and rookies were included in the study. Data was taken from January to August 2024 to calculate the search volume.
