Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) The expected completion date of the N. Central Ave. project has been moved from the end of August to mid to late September due to a project change.
It was determined that the base course underneath the center lanes would not be able to carry traffic. The DOT made the decision to pour six inches of concrete, which adds extra time to the project, according to the Engineering Division.
Construction, underway since mid-May, is to remove and replace the asphalt surface, upgrade sidewalk curb ramps to ADA standards, repair curbs between Arnold and Harrison Streets, and improve traffic signal and median island construction at Arnold Street and Doege Street.
Traffic is currently restricted to one lane and will switch from the outer lanes to the inner lanes on Thursday, July 18.
