Auburndale (OnFocus) Saturday morning at approximately 7:08 a.m., the Wood County Dispatch Center received a call of a two vehicle accident in the Village of Auburndale near the intersection of Cty Rd P and US Hwy 10.
A van traveling westbound on US Hwy 10 collided with a pickup truck which was northbound on Cty Rd P. The driver of the van, Mark A. Smith, 57, of Auburndale, was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the pickup, Tyler W. Richardson, 16, of Milladore, was transported to Marshfield Medical Center.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Department, Auburndale Fire Department, Auburndale First Responders, Wood County Coroner’s Department, Wood County Highway Department and Wisconsin State Patrol all assisted at the scene.
