Voters cast 340 votes for Neenah Girls Basketballś Allie Ziebell, giving her the title of OnFocus Athlete of the Week, March 3 – March 9.
Second place was earned by Owen-Withee Boys Basketballś Quinn Hatlestad, collecting 240 votes.
OnFocus Athlete of the Week, March 3 – March 9
- Allie Ziebell, Neenah Girls Basketball – Ziebell capped off her high school career with a top performance in the Division 1 State Title Game, a 69-59 loss to Arrowhead. Ziebell scored 35 points and made 14 of 29 shots from the field, including 7 of 16 from three-point territory.
- Quinn Hatlestad, Owen-Withee Boys Basketball – Hatlestad was instrumental in the Blackhawks’ playoff run, helping O-W advance to the sectional finals before bowing out 59-41.
- Anna Miller, Edgewood Girls Basketball – Edgewood entered the Division 3 Girls State Tournament as the #4 seed, and proceeded to win a pair of games to earn the 2023-23 WIAA Girls Basketball Division 3 State Championship. Miller came up big, scoring 17 points in the Crusaders’ 62-29 win over Baldwin-Woodville and 20 points in the title game, a 55-52 win over Xavier.
- Emmitt Konieczny, Columbus Catholic Boys Basketball – Konieczny scored 26 points to lead the Dons in their 80-77 win over Cashton in the sectional final on Saturday, and a berth at state.
- Amy Terrian, Pewaukee Girls Basketball – Terrian scored 19 points in Pewaukeeś state semifinal 79-41 win over West Salem and then added 18 points in the title game, a 60-52 win over Notre Dame, helping Pewaukee claim the WIAA Division 2 State Championship.
