In the sectional final matchup with Neillsville and Phillips on Saturday, it was a tale of two halves. Phillips jumped out to a 31-18 halftime lead before Neillsville turned up the pressure in the second half and surged past for a 48-42 win.
The first half saw Phillips work the ball around efficiently for multiple open shots from long range, downing three pointers that had Neillsville on the ropes heading into halftime.
After the break, however, Neillsville turned up the intensity,and limited Phillps to just 11 points, by cutting off the Loggers’ open looks from three point territory they had in the first half.
Neillsville was led by Emma Moseley, who had 14 points. Amelia Trunkel added 12 points and Paige Voigt chipped in with 10.
Jada Eggebrecht had 11 points for Phillips.

Neillsville advances to the state semifinals on Thursday evening, time to be determined after seeding takes place late Sunday /Monday morning.
