ASPEN, CO (OnFocus) – Daina Shilts of Neillsville, WI took home a gold medal on Friday afternoon at X Games Aspen.
Shilts along with Mons Roisland took home the Unified Snowboarding Slalom gold. Their medal-clinching run can be viewed here:
Shilts adds a 2022 gold medal to her already impressive resumé that includes a 2020 gold in the Unified Snowboarding Slalom along with medals in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Shilts also served as an analyst for ESPN’s Special Olympics USA Games coverage in 2018.
Roisland has won back-to-back silver medals in 2020 and 2021 in the Snowboard Slopestyle and achieved a bronze medal in Big Air in 2021.
