Nekoosa blows past W-F with 4th Quarter Surge

Weyauwega (OnFocus) – The Nekoosa Papermakers took a 16-0 lead into halftime, and then blew the game open in the final quarter with a pair of touchdowns to thump Weyauwega-Fremont, 30-7.

Hunter Lochner started the scoring with a 5 yard in the opening quarter and Ysquierdo Cordero added a two yard touchdown in the second quarter to give Nekoosa its halftime lead.

Lochner took over in the final quarter, scoring on touchdowns of 47 and 14 yards to put the game out of reach. Lochner ended up with a game high 139 yards rushing on 15 carries.

Cordero also topped the century mark, picking up 117 yards on 21 carries.

Nekoosa outgained W-F 390 to 133.
