New details have been released on the proposed $5.2 million hotel development to replace the Knights of Columbus Hall building at 400 W. Upham Street.
Located close to downtown and Marshfield Clinic, Hampton Inn & Suites will have 86 rooms, including 24 studio suites. Amenities include a free hot breakfast, free high-speed internet access, free parking, 24 hour treat shop, fully equipped exercise room and an indoor heated pool.
Additional amenities include refrigerators and microwaves in all studio suites, complimentary tea and coffee 24/7, Diamond Member reserved parking, Hilton Honors Loyalty Rewards, and meeting accommodations.
The project will commence next year. The City Plan Commission this week approved the creation of Tax Increment District #12 which will generate tax revenue to the city to pay back its $1,558,500 investment in the development, over a 20 year period. The Council will review the draft on January 8.
