Experts at BlackoutVapors.com have recently compiled a study to find out which basketball team’s jerseys are the most popular right now. They looked at the number of followers each team has, how many championships they’ve won, how many times each team’s jersey was searched for, the current most popular player’s jersey and its search frequency, the all-time most popular player’s jersey and its search frequency, and what the jerseys usually cost on average.
The Brooklyn Nets lead the list of most popular basketball jerseys among fans, with an impressive 2.3M searches for their team jersey. The current star with jersey popularity is Ben Simmons with 10.4K monthly searches, while the all-time favorite is Kevin Durant with 60.8K monthly searches. The jerseys are priced at an average of $90.
The Detroit Pistons follow in the second position, with 1.6M searches for their team. Cade Cunningham leads current popularity with 3.9K monthly searches while Isiah Thomas’s jersey remains the team’s highest searched one with 9K searches monthly. The jerseys have an average price of $164.
Golden State Warriors take the third place in the ranking, accumulating 865K searches for their jerseys. Stephen Curry dominates both the current and all-time popularity with 238K monthly searches for his jersey. The team’s jerseys are on average at $193.
LA Lakers rank fourth, with 811K searches for their team jerseys. LeBron James’s jersey is the current most searched with 305K monthly searches, but Kobe Bryant holds the all-time high with 1.4M monthly searches. Lakers’ jerseys are priced at an average of $101.
Chicago Bulls secure the fifth spot, with 751K searches for their jerseys. DeMar DeRozan leads the current squad with 13.3K monthly searches, yet Michael Jordan remains the timeless favorite with 476K monthly searches. The Bulls have the highest average jersey price at $252.
Boston Celtics are in sixth place, with 554K monthly searches for their jerseys. Jayson Tatum leads the current roster with 54.9K searches, with Larry Bird as the all-time favorite at 42.3K monthly searches. Celtics’ jerseys are also priced at an average of $101.
Toronto Raptors are in the seventh position with 466K monthly searches. Pascal Siakam’s jersey is the current most popular with 2.7K monthly searches, while Kawhi Leonard’s jersey during his time with the Raptors is the all-time most searched at 31K. The average price for a Raptors jersey is $117.
Miami Heat lands in eighth place, with 427K searches for their jerseys. Jimmy Butler leads the current squad with 30.7K searches, while Dwyane Wade’s jersey is the all-time favorite with 22.1K monthly searches. Heat jerseys are priced at an average of $90.
The New York Knicks are in ninth place, with 327K searches for their jerseys. Julius Randle is currently the most popular with 1.4K searches, and Walt Frazier (“Clyde Frazier”) is the all-time favorite with 1.7K searches. The average price for a Knicks jersey is $101.
Phoenix Suns round up the top ten, with 311K searches for their club jerseys. Devin Booker‘s jersey currently leads with 30.4K monthly searches, closely following the all-time favorite, Steve Nash‘s jersey, which gathers 9.3K searches. The Suns’ jerseys have an average price of $118.
