New Study Reveals Most Law-Abiding States Led by New Jersey, Virginia and Kentucky

  • A new study reveals that New Jersey is the most law-abiding U.S. state, having the lowest crime rate and strong control over cigarette and tobacco use.
  • Virginia comes second with a low alcohol consumption rate and moderated spending on gambling.
  • Kentucky shows the lowest gambling expenditure among top states, suggesting a more conservative approach to gaming activities.
Methodology: A new study by Good Guys Injury Law identified the most law-abiding U.S. states based on key metrics such as gambling expenditure, alcohol consumption, crime rates, tobacco use, illicit drug use, and marijuana use. The analysis calculates a composite score that reflects each state’s overall responsibility rate and behavioral patterns by utilizing comprehensive data from trusted government and research sources.
