A new study has revealed the most festive teams in the NFL, and it’s good news for fans of the Packers, Bears, and Ravens.
The research from FlashPicks, a betting picks, parlays, predictions, and news brand, considered how ‘festive’ each and every NFL team is in the run-up to the Christmas season, using various factors.
The factors included each team’s Christmas Day game record, the number of festive merchandise on the team’s online shop, the number of players with festive names, the teams that wear festive colors, the likelihood of a white Christmas in the team’s city, as well as the number of bars in the area open on Christmas day. These factors gave each team a total ‘festive’ score out of 100.
The study revealed that the most festive team in the NFL is the Green Bay Packers, with a total score of 71.4 out of 100.
While the Packers are not playing in either of this year’s Christmas Day NFL matches, the team has won three of its four Christmas Day games played since 2005, including back-to-back victories in 2021 and 2022, meaning the Packers’ win rate of 75% is the ninth-highest Christmas Day win rate in the NFL.
The Packers also has a total of 57 different items of ‘festive’ merchandise available to purchase from its online store, including decorations, stocking fillers, and jumpers.
The Packers also feature six ‘festive’ colors such as green, white, and gold across its badge and home jersey, and what’s more, the city of Green Bay also has a 61% likelihood of snowfall at Christmas.
The study found that around 35% of sports bars in the city of Green Bay will be open on Christmas Day.
